One of the most beautiful hotels we have ever stayed in and the perfect place to start our honeymoon! The hotel was beautiful, the views were even better, the staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and the food at breakfast & the restaurant onsite was fantastic.
The room was spacious with an amazing view of the ocean - can't imagine any of the rooms having a bad view! All of the outdoor spaces for lounging were nice since we did not have a balcony or a terrace on our room.
The hotel is so special and unique - I truly have never stayed at a place like this before, and I have not one bad thing to say about our experience here. We would stay here again and will be recommending it to all of our friends!
My family and I had dinner at Hotel Marmorata and while the experience had its ups and downs, the service was outstanding. The food, unfortunately, was just okay, and the ambience left much to be desired.
One of the major drawbacks of the evening was the presence of numerous bugs, which significantly affected our enjoyment. The bugs continuously landed on our food and in our drinks.
While I cannot overlook the issues with the food and ambience, the exceptional service provided by our waitress deserves recognition. Despite the bugs and lackluster atmosphere, her efforts made our evening more pleasant.
Located on the sea, this hotel has everything you would want. Perfect location for ferry travel. The hotel shuttle made getting around easy. Located near Amalfi and Positano but set apart from the busy towns which makes for nice quiet mornings. Outdoor pool with bar and amazing bartenders. They also have water toys and water access. Great place to swim in the sea. Hotel features a natural waterfall too! Highly recommended.
This is an absolutely incredibly beautiful hotel and experience. We have stayed in the Amalfi Coast several times before but this was definitely our favourite hotel and would highly recommend anyone to stay here. The staff was always friendly, smiling, respectful, and helpful. The rooms were extremely clean, the food was absolutely delicious and the view, wow there are no words! Love that this is a family run hotel, you can really feel the family love from the staff! Thank you to all for your incredible service!
My husband and I stayed at Hotel Marmorata this past week and had the time of our lives. The hotel was beautifully situated on the water, the food/ drinks were incredible, and the staff was so extremely kind and helpful. Prior to going, I had seen some negative reviews on the hotel's more coastal location and so I wanted to add our experience in that regard. We very much thought the location to be a strength, because it offered an exceptional waterfront experience including private beach club and swimming. We also thought the location to be central to exploration and at no point felt isolated! We made trips to Minori via the free hotel shuttle bus, Amalfi via a pre-arranged unscheduled shuttle bus pick-up (just 20 euro to have the hotel shuttle bus pick you up at a different time), Ravello via walking path (a steep climb, but fun), and Capri via a group boat tour that left from the hotel's personal dock (how cool!). The hotel even helped us plan our boat tour via email prior to our arrival when I was overwhelmed with options online. I can't say enough good things about our stay and highly recommend Hotel Marmorata.
Not only was the food and stay at the hotel excellent, but the hotel was excellent in responding to our needs when we were in trouble. When we could not seem to catch the bus in time to catch our flight home, they responded urgently and offered a shuttle bus to another bus stop. I really appreciated their flexibility and promptness.
if you were to believe a small percentage of the reviews on here, you might have the impression that there are, for example, too many ants, or that the sea water is dirty, or even that some of the staff are rude & / or unhelpful.
so for those that have never visited...
i did see some ants, although i am surely not educated as to what constitutes too many; equal to & more than 10? maybe 9 ants is ok, but 10 is a deal breaker? & what about the sample size re: period of time? 9 ants in one 24 hour period is ok? perhaps a detailed statistical analysis compiled by an expert on ants (that reside on the amalfi coast) would help us all to understand what constitutes 'too many ants.'
they were ants, outside, on the steps leading up to the outdoor pool, so small that, admittedly, i had to kneel down & unpack my microscope to observe them...
the sea was so dirty that on the steps outside, way above the sea, 10 metres or more, i could see all the way to the bottom, & the most delightful fish of all different colours...
the staff were so rude & unhelpful that they were singing & dancing whilst serving breakfast, serving food & drinks all day long to your recliner at the beach club, & making cups of coffee, & giving out chilled water at 05:30 when i was observed in an area adjacent to reception watching sunrise. i mean that is awful isn't it?
so shall we get real, & speak the truth between us?
this is a heavenly resort, minutes from minori, with views to die for, & a beach club with direct access into the sea.
you don't have to step outside the hotel for one moment, because they have everthing.
the rooms are beautifully presented, with fully functioning AC, & a well stocked fridge, should you need a refreshing drink.
i was spoilt for choice at breakfast; a delightful buffet that caters for all tastes.
too many ants? dirty sea water? rude & / unhelpful staff? ok. & i am the pope.
an absolute gem on the amalfi coast.
sincerely.
The location of the hotel was nice. but it is an old hotel. We stayed in the panoramic suite room, the room was really big and the view was beautiful.
There were a lot of mosquitoes and a lot of spiders and cobwebs in the room.the …
